Hammer’s Gym is very excited to announce the launching of a 21-day Myzone challenge from the 27th of April until the 18th of May, 2020
As many of us have already experienced, keeping motivated during isolation is not easy. However, during these times, it is imperative to continue to exercise. Not only does exercise help keep our immune system strong and less susceptible to infections, but it also has a significant impact on our mental health. So, while it’s more important than ever to keep moving, let’s all do it together—separately!
What is Myzone?
Myzone is a wearable heart rate-based system that uses wireless technology to monitor your physical activity.
Instead of focusing on body metrics, this monitor measures your heart rate, and shifts focus to the intensity of your workouts.
Myzone Effort Points (MEPs) are awarded throughout your workout and are intermittently increased the harder you push yourself, as seen in the image below.
*Grey MEPS are not included in Myzone challenges.
The Myzone heart rate monitor connects to a downloadable app which shows you a minute by minute breakdown of your workout, including details on your heart-rate, calories burnt and MEPS earnt.
The app also allows you to connect with your friends, send messages and see their workouts- all adding a fun, competitive edge.
The highest number of MEPs earnt over the 21 days will be used to determine the winner of the challenge.
How do I join?
For our members who already own a Myzone, you will automatically be entered into the challenge.
If you do not own a Myzone, you can purchase them from Hammer’s Gym. Myzones retail at $149.99, however, we want to allow everyone to join and will be selling the remaining stock for $99. For all enquiries, please send a message to Hammer’s Gym Facebook or Instagram page.
Your Myzone will also come in handy when the gym is re-opened. We have fitted out the gym with tv-screens which automatically connect to your Myzone and display your heart-rate, giving you the chance to monitor yourself and get competitive with people training nearby. Furthermore, owning a Myzone will also provide you with access to our Myzone-exclusive classes!
Prizes
The winner of the Myzone challenge will receive a Hammer’s Gym gift pack!
The gift pack will include a Hammer’s Gym bag, a hoodie, a t-shirt of your choice and a few edible goodies.
